Prior to her passing in 2012 at age 86, Gretchen Sammis established the Chase Ranch Foundation for the purpose of maintaining the Chase Ranch's heritage of the west and educating the public about cattle ranching and conservation.
Philmont Scout Ranch Staff personally guide Chase Ranch visitors on seasonal tours of the Main House and surrounding areas to learn about the history and heritage of the Chase Ranch.
